Nursery

An underwater structure array where coral fragments grow before outplanting.

An underwater structure array — rope, table, or fusion plug system — where fragments grow for ~2–3 years before outplanting as whole colonies.

Each nursery belongs to a Restoration Site and contains multiple structures.

Key metrics tracked per nursery:

Survival rate — fraction of fragments alive
Health score — mean across fragments
EVI — mean ecological volume (cm³) for the 10% of each genotype monitored for growth
Fragments seeded year-to-date

Restoration Site

A container under a branch that groups the nurseries, outplant areas, control sites, and donor colonies serving one restoration programme.

Structure

A physical frame within a nursery that holds fragments at defined grid positions.
