Site Hierarchy
Nursery
An underwater structure array where coral fragments grow before outplanting.
An underwater structure array — rope, table, or fusion plug system — where fragments grow for ~2–3 years before outplanting as whole colonies.
Each nursery belongs to a Restoration Site and contains multiple structures.
Key metrics tracked per nursery:
- Survival rate — fraction of fragments alive
- Health score — mean across fragments
- EVI — mean ecological volume (cm³) for the 10% of each genotype monitored for growth
- Fragments seeded year-to-date
